Fukumaru Teriyaki Reviews
Love the chicken udon noodle soup, and chicken teriyaki. The soup especially when I'm under the weather. I like the option for brown rice in lieu of white rice.
I was not super hungry and was thrilled to see udon on the menu with Yelp at this place right next door to the Holiday Inn Express Anchorage. The place was vacant. Very clean. Tables nicely spaced and look new. One person picked up a to go order and a couple was at a table. I took my meal back to the hotel. Udon is very flavorful and has a nice mix of ingredients: carrots, onions, broccoli and cabbage. The beef is cut thin, was well cooked and has a wonderful flavor!
Good food, good taste, no crowd. Clean tables, chopsticks kinda suck. If you want spicy, you get it here lots of food on the tray.
FUKamaru. Good ass place. i think about this place often, I'm not from the area so I only had them on a vacation. miss it
Very close to the hotel so it was a nice drive. It is definitely a mom and pop shop with the poppa san cooking and mama san taking the orders. When I went in, poppa san took my order and then went to cook. I ordered the steak teriyaki with sauce on the side. Got my food and back to the hotel. When I opened the box I was surprised at how much meat was in it. The meat was very tender and the sauce made it tasty. I would go back but I probably won't be in Alaska for awhile :)
Stopped in for a quick lunch at work. As the name implies, they have a number of teriyaki options available. I went for the chicken yaki soba. The owner was friendly. The prices and portions seem reasonable and the food was good - not amazing but not bad for a hearty lunch. No issues with parking in the lot in front of the restaurant. They also do takeout if you're in a hurry or don't want to dine in.
When we want a hearty meal but want to make it quick, it is always easy to choose Fukumaru Teriyaki. I like that we can call our order in ahead and its hot and ready by the time we get there. This place is family owned and they work hard, while still managing to be kind. Inside, the restaurant is clean and large enough. Simple tables and chairs. A TV off to the side, and a soda fountain/utensil set-up. Spicy pork plate, teriyaki beef plate and an order of shrimp tempura is our usual ticket. Their rice is cooked perfectly (spouse is picky about his rice) and portions are generous. I can never finish my plate. We can always count on Fukumaru to consistently make quality fresh food, fast. Their Spenard/Int'l Airport location is also very convenient for our commuting needs.
Simple, clean family run terryaki place. They have katsu and lots of other items on their menu. If you get a combo you can choose from the six different sides. I got chix terryaki with h brown rice and dumplings. Made fresh and came out hot and juicy. If I lived on town I would go back.

Delicious option for teriyaki chicken, tempura, and potstickers. This was my second visit in two weeks. The t. chicken portions were huge for me, enough for two meals.
